January was a tough month! David's mother passed away Jan. 2nd and had been sick since our Canyon trip the first of November. Painting and being creative was not one of the choices. But, on a more cheerful note, we joined Tina and her family in Washington DC the first of Feb. and had a great time. And, my sister visited soon after that and we painted outside every morning--beautiful weather! So, I am painting again and am trying a few new techniques. I am attaching the first stage of my experimental style--more photos of the next stages will hopefully follow!
